Prize from The Prestigious International Competition on European Union Law – CEEMC

The Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” team, led and trained by Tsvetelina Bayraktarova, Associate at DGKV, was awarded two prizes from the Central and Eastern Europe Moot Court Competition (CEEMC) – major student competition on European Union law. The team reached the semifinals of the competition and was awarded two awards – “Best Written Pleadings” and “Best Speaker”. Tsvetelina Bayrakratova, now a PhD student in commercial law at the Law Faculty of the Sofia University, won the best orator prize in 2016, and in 2017 and 2018 she coached Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” teams.

The 24th edition of this regional competition took place in Wrocław, Poland between 20th and 23rd April 2018 under the auspices of the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg, the Centre for European Legal Studies of University of Cambridge and the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple. Each year the competition represents a simulation of a preliminary reference to the Court of Justice of the EU and is based on issues of both procedural and substantive law of the EU. Each participating team is required to present the position of claimant and respondent with written submissions and oral pleadings.

Well done, Tsvetelina!
