Krassimir Hristov is an associate at DGKV, part of the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice. His work covers a wide range of IP matters, including trademarks, industrial designs and software copyright. He has been involved in opposition proceedings before the Bulgarian Patent Office and the European Union Intellectual Property Office. Krassimir consults national and foreign clients on different aspects of Bulgarian IP law. He also practices in civil litigation and has experience in the energy sector.
Involvement in recent representative project:
- Provides ongoing legal advice and consultation to Economedia AD, one of the largest and most prominent business media groups in Bulgaria, on various IP-related matters, including enforcement of registered marks, pre-registration and registration advice and representation regarding new brands, renewal of registrations, advice on classification of activities, preliminary searches and monitoring.
- Participates in a number of ongoing opposition proceedings pending before the Bulgarian Patent Office for the protection of the IP rights of one of the largest, European based pharmaceutical and dermocosmetics group.
- Participates in the legal due diligence of the Bulgarian subsidiary of a major US IT company with subsidiaries in a number of European states as part of the acquisition of US parent company.
- Participates in opposition proceedings for protection of the trademark rights of the American credit rating agency Moody's in Bulgaria.
