Germany’s car-parts maker WITTE is contemplating a BGN 22.5mn (EUR 11.5mn) project for building a production unit near the Danube port of Ruse . The plant is expected to become operational three years after the launch of the project. WITTE designs, develops and produces locking and latching systems for all kinds of cars. Earlier in the month, French car-parts manufacturer Montupet started production in Ruse projecting annual sales of EUR 45mn in the first phase of development and EUR 140mn later on. The industrial zone in Ruse provides fast links to Romanian-based facilities of Renault and Dacia as well as cheap water transport routes to Central Europe and neighbouring Turkey .
