The Bulgarian Association of Consulting Engineers and Architects (BACEA) organized on 24th February a discussion on the amendments to the Spatial Development Act (SDA) with dipl. eng. Milka Gecheva, Director of the Directorate for National Construction Control (DNCC) and dipl. eng. Emilia Yordanova, Deputy Director of the DNCC. Alongside with prominent consultants, designers and municipal clerks, Nikolina Stefanova, Senior Associate at DGKV, and Dimo Staykov, Associate at DGKV, examined the most important legal amendments that directly concern construction supervision and commissioning. The discussion focused on:

• the abolition of the “Safety and Health Plan” and “Construction Waste Management Plan” from the investment project;

• the dropping out of the “Leading designer”;

• the introduction of specific deadlines for opening the construction site;

• the upcoming amendments to the relevant secondary legislation.
