The last two units 7 and 8 already have a fully functioning flue gas desulphurization plant with the same air protection characteristics as those for units 1-4. After the end of all modernization works, the state power plant will have production capacity of 1,577MW. It is producing about 17% of the country’s electricity at present and stands as the largest thermo-power plant on the Balkans.
