Regional minister Rosen Plevneliev informs that the tender procedure for one of the segments of Trakia Motorway will be launched on Nov 12. In June, the committee for monitoring the transport operational programme decided to include the completion of Trakia Motorway, which connects the capital city Sofia with the southern Black Sea city of Burgas , in the list of projects to be financed with EU structural funds. The total investment amount of the construction works of the three remaining segments between Stara Zagora and Karnobat with total length of 115 km is expected at EUR 375mn. In September, minister Plevneliev unveiled that the tenders for all three segments will take place in the fall. He vows that construction works on the highway will be completed in three years.
