Voestalpine to sign non-binding deal on EUR 5bn investment plan

Austria’s steel mill Voestalpine will sign on Monday (Sep 8) a non-binding memorandum of understanding with the government, economy minister Petar Dimitrov informs. This will not provide guarantees that the plant will be build in the country. The same kind of arrangement is already signed with Ukraine and two other memorandums are scheduled with the other two potential locations – Romania and Turkey . The Austrian investment plan is estimated in the range from EUR 5bn to EUR 7bn and will create big opportunities for setting up related supply and distribution businesses.
