Zhelyazko Kolev is an Associate in DGKV’s Privacy & Data Protection, Communications & Technology, and AI Governance practices. He joined DGKV in 2026 and brings in-depth expertise in data protection, gained primarily through his regulatory experience. Prior to joining the firm, Zhelyazko spent three years at the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection, where he gained practical experience in regulatory supervision and enforcement of data protection legislation. He advises corporate clients on a wide range of personal data protection and privacy matters, including cross-border data transfers, data processing agreements, controller-processor arrangements, and emerging regulatory questions related to artificial intelligence. He helps clients translate complex legal requirements into clear, practical guidance aligned with their operational needs.

- Advising a multinational holding company on personal data compliance, including regulatory requirements, risk assessment, and implementation of privacy best practices.
- Providing ongoing advice to a multinational industrial and aerospace technology company on data protection and privacy compliance.
