Topic: Taxation
Ahead of year end, when another major portion of tax laws twisting is expected, DGKV's latest tax newsletter warms things up by focusing on the already enacted recent developments in the Law on Corporate Income Tax, the Law on Value Added Tax, the Law on Excise Duties and Tax Warehouses and some other relevant changes to tax and social security legislation, passed with the grossly belated state budget laws.
The legislative amendments were promulgated on 1 August 2023 but introduced changes to the tax and social security laws that take effect as of different point of time – some as of start of 2024, some as of mid-2024, others retroactively as of beginning of 2023.
You could decide to have a look so that not lose track of any crucial timing for your operations. Among the more notable points to consider would be the new amount of the minimum social security income, the new concept of “electronic food vouchers”, some new rules on the tax benefits for children, as well as amendments to the excise duty legislation, introducing the non-nicotine e-cigarette liquids and tobacco substitutes containing nicotine as excisable tobacco products. In addition, changes to the VAT legislation were also implemented, as well as some new restrictions on certain types of cash payments.
Our newsletter briefly touches upon the most important tax and social security changes brought with these recent amendments to help with navigating in these changing times of tax and other complications.
