Advent International buys software developer Sophis Technology.

 The state antitrust commission informs that it has approved the acquisition of the local software developer Sophis Technology by the US equity house Advent International Corporation. The watchdog claims that the activities of the two entities do not overlap and will not endanger the effective competition. Sophis Technology develops risk management software for banks and insurance companies. The company does not offer its products on the local market. The commission states that the take over would expand the business of Sophis Technology on the international market. Advent International is the main shareholder in Viva Ventures which played the leading role in the wining bid for the acquisition of 65% of landline telecom BTC recently reselled to the local subsidiary of AIG Capital Partners, NEF Telecom. Advent International also controls Herlitz Bulgaria, Vinolit, and Roma Plastic.
