Avenir Telecom to open 100 retail stores by end-2008

 The French cell-phone retailer Avenir Telecom opened yesterday its 36th store in the country under the trade mark Internity. The company announced plans to invest BGN 4mn (EUR 2.05mn) in expansion of its network to more than 100 units by the end of next year. A week ago Avenir signed a partnership agreement with the country’s largest retail chain Billa. The number of the sales units run by Avenir would reach about 70 by the end of this year, according to the trade director of the local business of the company, Petar Petrov. Avenir, the second largest trader of mobile phones in Europe, entered the local market last year when it acquired the shops Da-Da and has invested BGN 5.3mn by now. Avenir would work together with the second largest wireless operator in the country GloBul.
