Senior Associate Simeon Simeonov awarded “The Best Claim” prize named after Djingov, Gouginski, Kyutchukov & Velichkov law firm at the National Competition in Civil and Commercial Law held on 14-15 April 2018 in Sofia. The prize went to the team of the University of National and World Economy with members Thurker Mollahasan, Anelia Licheva, Nikolay Nikolov, and Kristian Popov. Only the best eight best student teams were admitted to the the finals. 

The National Competition in Civil and Commercial Law is held for the eleventh year, and every year teams from all faculties of law at Bulgarian universities have the opportunity to take part. The competition is in a simulated trial format, as the teams compete for two days on resolving a case study in the area of commercial law. The case studies and tests are made up by respected lecturers from the most prestigious Bulgarian universities. Judges from the Supreme Court of Cassation, the Sofia City Court, the Court of Arbitration of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, professors of law and lawyers have been invited to judge at the competition.
