Bulgaria begins oil, gas exploring in country's southern part
After signing the contract with Total for oil and gas exploration in the Black Sea, Energy Minister Delyan Dobrev announced the launch of oil and gas exploration in the southern part of the country as well. The block that will be explored falls within the territory of Bulgaria and its neighbours - Greece and Turkey, BTA reported. Turkey has already found 24 gas and three oil deposits in its territory of the block, which raises the hopes that drilling in Bulgaria will also prove successful. The exploration period will last two years and will cost approximately EUR 7mn.
