Omourtag Petkov explored the legal regime and certain aspects of doing business in the USA on the dedicated Explore USA Conference held on April 9th 2019. Organised by the American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria, the event brought together for a day of discussions and networking high-level US and Bulgarian government officials, representatives from the international and local businesses looking to expand their businesses in the United States. Besides examining US legal landscape, Omourtag focused on the legal framework for exporting and selling to the USA and the intricacies regarding the establishing a local subsidiary. 
Omourtag Petkov is a leading partner at DGKV’s M&A and Corporate Practice, which he joined in 2003. He received his legal education in France and in the United States (with a Fulbright Scholarship), spending also some time as a researcher at an international organization in the Netherlands. Omourtag was admitted to practice in New York in 2004 and started his career as a business lawyer in the USA. He was a lecturer on Introduction to U.S. Law at New Bulgarian University, Sofia, Bulgaria.
