Spain’s energy group Coener is planning to invest EUR 60mn in construction of a bio-energy complex near the northern city of Pleven . The project will comprise a bio-diesel refinery, an installation for production of crude refined oil, a storehouse and a new port on the Danube River . The production will rely on agricultural crops. Fuels will be sold on the domestic market as well as in Austria , Germany , Romania , and Serbia . Local companies may also take part in the project. Coener is specialised in construction of renewable energy units like solar and wind-power parks and small hydropower generators.
