The US Crown International Incorporated is planning to invest EUR 25mn in building a waste-burning plant near the southern town of Svilengrad near the border with Turkey . The local representative of the Americans, Aifelstroy, has already completed the pre-project research. The facility would produce electricity, sand and metals from a pyrogenesis process. The costs for burning 1 ton of waste are estimated at EUR 52 while sales will reach EUR 78. At the beginning of this week, Crown International announced another project for burning hazardous waste (biological, medical and toxic) near the north-western city of Vratsa .
