The EBRD is considering extending credit lines to local banks in the amount of EUR 40mn for on-lending for residential energy efficiency projects, the institution informed in a note on its website. The financing would come as an extension of the Residential Energy Efficiency Credit Line Framework, which was launched on the local market in 2005. It will be complemented by a EUR 14mn grant from the fund established for the decommissioning of the non-operating units of the nuclear plant in Kozloduy.
