Enemona mulls EUR 22mn investment in Lom in 2008-2009

The local energy company Enemona is to invest a total of BGN 43mn (EUR 22mn) in different projects in the northern region of Lom near the Danube River over the period 2008-2009. Enemona is intending to build a factory for heating materials and a heating utility to serve the population of the town of Lom . The investment in the two facilities, which should start operations this year, is estimated at a total of BGN 10mn. Enemona would build also a logistics and business park worth BGN 23mn. Enemona has invested already BGN 10mn in the project for setting up a lignite coal search and exploration facility, for which it received a first-class investment certificate last year. This is the first stage of a large-scale project, including also the construction of a 400 MW thermo-power plant estimated at BGN 1.5bn to BGN 1.7bn. Enemona carries out construction and repair works in the three thermo-power plants in Maritsa East and hopes to win big orders under the EUR 4bn project for building a 2,000 MW nuclear plant in Belene. The company cashed BGN 33.6mn from offering 16.76% of its capital in November tio finance investment projects and debt payments.
