The Notary Chamber of the Republic of Bulgaria invited Senior Associate Ralitsa Gougleva to present before notaries from all over the country the potential implications of the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR” / “the Regulation”) on their operations at the Spring Seminar of the Chamber. The event was held on 31st March 2018 at Marinela Hotel.
Ralitsa focused on the practical, experience-based, aspects of the GDPR and the notaries’ preparedness for its implementation. She explained what some of the important situations under the Regulation regarding the processing of personal data by notaries are, what the consequences for notaries in case of a violation are and how they can bring their operations in line with the Regulation.
