The Greek GEK Group will receive first class investment certificate today for a EUR 72mn project for building a sports complex. The state investment agency comments that the project may be upgraded to EUR 108mn. The sports complex will be located in the town of Samokov, close to the major ski resort of Borovets and some 60 kilometres from the capital city of Sofia. Construction works will be completed in 3 years. In addition to the sports hall, the investor will build a hotel, trade centre, golf and tennis playgrounds, swimming pool, and other recreational and entertainment facilities.
