The local Innovation Company will invest EUR 220mno in construction of a solar cogeneration plant with capacity of 120MW for electricity generation and 570MW for heat supplies. The plant will be located in the technological park of the north-eastern city of Shumen. The first stage of the project is valued at EUR 50mn. It will be completed in cooperation with the German-Swiss fund ICS. The project is expected to start next year. Construction works will continue four years. Another unit for the production of solar installations modules with total capacity of 10,000 units per year would be constructed afterwards.
