Italy’s SOL Group to invest EUR 16mn in Bulgaria until 2013

Italy's SOL Group plans to invest EUR 16mn in building two new plants in Bulgaria, the economy ministry said on its website. SOL Group intends to build an atmospheric gases production plant and a plant for extraction of carbon dioxide from the waste gases of local chemical producer Agropolychim, located in the north-eastern town of Devnia. The two facilities will be located at the site of Agropolychim and will be put on stream in the second half of 2013. The project will open 50 new jobs. The Italian company signed a contract with Agropolychim for the two plants on November 30. The company expects annual sales of EUR 7mn and plans to export 20% of its output to Romania and Turkey.
