Magyar Telekom looks for new acquisitions in Bulgaria

The leading Hungarian telecom operator Magyar Telekom is considering new acquisitions in Bulgaria , according to a statement of the management delivered through the local subsidiary of the company. Magyar Telekom has taken full control of the local alternative telecom operator Orbitel at the price of EUR 8mn about 2 years ago. It is looking for fast growing businesses in the field of web development and internet services. The company is encouraged to increase investments on the local market by expectations that Internet advertisement expenses would grow by 60% to BGN 20mn (EUR 10.2mn) this year.
