A private Bulgarian airline will be established soon to fill in the niche left after Bulgaria Air's privatisation, the Pari daily learned from sources. The new company will be set up by foreign companies that failed to buy the national carrier. The team will most probably include eminent figures from the Bulgarian aviation industry who have managed their own airlines. That will create additional stimuli for boosting competition, which will be good for the Bulgarian market, aviation experts commented.
The winner of the tender for Bulgaria Air is still to be announced. However Privatisation Agency CEO Todor Nikolov has hinted that the offer of Balkan Hemus Group is better than Air One Bulgaria's.
