Nova TV interviewed DGKV’s Partner Omourtag Petkov, Chairman of the British Bulgarian Business Association (BBBA), on the prospects of Brexit and on the fourth anniversary of BBBA. The latter is the bilateral British Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria, international affiliate member of the British Chambers of Commerce in the UK, and DGKV law firm is among its founders.
Omourtag elaborated on the impact Brexit will have on the business community in the UK and the EU, including in Bulgaria. In the words of Omourtag, the uncertainty over a Brexit deal is hanging as a “dark cloud” over the business in the UK, Europe and Bulgaria. The companies are confused and concerned about the prospects of Brexit without any deal less than two months before the Brexit date of March 29th. 
In the interview, Omourtag further said that many businesses have already launched back up plans in case of a no-deal Brexit by expanding the network of their distribution centers, by keeping supplies on storage, exploring alternative trading routes, etc.
