Renewable energy capacity in Bulgaria reaches 2,747 MW

The total capacity of the renewable energy installations in the country (hydro power, wind-power, photovoltaic and biomass-power plants) has reached almost 2,747 MW as of today, according to data of the association of producers of ecologic energy quoted by investor.bg. The installed capacity of wind-power producers has reached 504 MW and is to expand by 150 MW by the end of the year. The capacity of the photovoltaic producers is estimated at 60 MW and is to rise by 100 MW by year-end. The total capacity of the hydro power plants stands at 2,183 MW, 1,942 MW of which is generated by large hydro power plants (of capacity of more than 10 MW).
