Sheffield Real Estate mulls projects worth USD 300mn

Dubai’s construction company Sheffield Real Estate has earmarked USD 250mn to USD 300mn for real estate projects in Eastern Europe. The company has started already to investigate specific areas for residential buildings. Projects are expected to start by the middle of the next year. Sheffield Real Estate has finished projects worth USD 136mn by now while the current investment portfolio of the company is estimated at USD 817mn. On a separate note, Investor.bg reads that AXA Real Estate Investment Managers (AXA REIM), fully owned by the UK’s AXA IM Group, has also expressed interest in the Bulgarian real estate market. The company reportedly mulls acquisition of two acting entertainment and logistics units but is also interested in the business areas segment and in investments in hotels. AXA REIM manages properties valued at EUR 42bn.
