The Italian-Bulgarian consortium Uniland-Siconco signed yesterday a EUR 7.87mn contract for building a water purification station in the northern city of Shumen . The total amount of the project is estimated at EUR 30.13mn, 75% of which is ISPA financing. Construction works will be monitored by the German-Bulgarian consortium DIWI Consult International – IGIP and are expected to be finished in three years. The project will open 140 temporary and 28 permanent jobs. The purification station would serve 350,000 inhabitants in the district until 2022. Identical projects for Sofia , Sliven and Kyustendil at a total amount of EUR 111mn are expected to start soon.
