The country’s leading drug maker Sopharma will receive today first-class investment certificate for its project to construct a EUR 37.7 tablet plant. The new facility will be located on 13,502 square metres, close to the ampoule producing unit of Sopharma in the capital of Sofia. The project, already approved by the state drugs agency, would open 275 jobs and is expected to produce 3bn tablets. The new plant of Sopharma will most likely move the company ahead of Actavis Bulgaria. Each of the two companies accounts for about 10% of the market at present.
