The Austrian Sparkassen Immobilien AG is planning to invest EUR 500mn in real estate properties in the country until 2010, according to a company statement. Sparkassen Immobilien will build business parks and hotels in the capital of Sofia as well as in the two other main cities Varna and Plovdiv . As recalled, Sparkassen Immobilien AG together with the German ECE Projektmanagement and the local Immorent Bulgaria plan to invest about EUR 180mn in the construction of a trade and business centre in Sofia . The new project named Serdika Centre will be finilised in 2009 and will open more than 2,000 new jobs. Construction works are expected to start in two months at latest.
