US IT company mulls relocating part of its business to Bulgaria
US-based IT company plans moving its accounting units in Bulgaria, investor.bg reported, citing the head of Invest Bulgaria Agency, Borislav Stefanov. The investor remained unnamed. Apart from the benefits for the state budget, the implementation of the project will result in up to 300 new job openings on the local labour market that suffers from high unemployment since the outbreak of the crisis in 2008. The decision in the relocation is expected to be taken in September. Eight other potential investment projects in the country were revealed recently. Three of them are related to the automotive industry and should have higher value added, according to economy ministry information.
