DGKV has successfully represented Golden Leaf Tobacco Company Inc. (Golden Leaf), a US tobacco company engaged in the manufacturing, marketing and distribution of tobacco leaf, cut tobacco and cigarettes, in a commercial dispute with Bulgartabac Holding through one of its subsidiaries – SOFIA -BULGARTABAC AD (Sofia BT).

DGKV successfully advised and represented Golden Leaf before Sofia City Court in a commercial dispute with the biggest Bulgarian tobacco producer pertaining to collection of USD 1.2 million outstanding receivables under an international sale contract. Thanks to DGKV’s depth of expertise, Sofia City Court rendered decision under the case in favour of Golden Leaf, awarding the full claimed amount and the legal fees incurred with regard to the case. Thus, the highly-regarded litigation team proves its second to none capability to handle substantial multi-jurisdictional disputes. The court decision is subject to appeal before the Sofia Appellate Court within two weeks as from the date of service.
