Information has become the new oil and the fundamental building block in the new digital era. Stakeholders are using, collecting and accumulating data, and using it for marketing and other various purposes. Violetta Kunze, Partner and Head the law firm’s Telecom and Media Practice, was entrusted to moderate a special panel dedicated to up-to-date knowledge of the key developments in information flow and processing at the IBA Annual Conference in Sydney 2017. Organised by several committees of the International Bar Association, the event shall bring together leading lawyers and TMT experts to explore current trends and debate the hottest issues in data protection.
The “Information: the new oil” working session shall discuss who has lawful access to the data, what can be done with the information and who ultimately owns the data.
