Bulgarian Ontotext (https://www.ontotext.com/) and Austrian Semantic Web Company (SWC) (https://semantic-web.com/) joined forces to become the leading Graph AI provider, Graphwise.  The transaction, which was announced in October 2024, closed recently after the completion of various preparatory steps.

Graphwise combines Ontotext’s GraphDB, a versatile graph database engine for linking and unifying information at scale, and the expertise in knowledge engineering, text mining, and semantic search that SWC’s PoolParty Semantic Suite offers.  Learn more about Graphwise at https://graphwise.ai/.

DGKV advised Ontotext in a seamless deal process which involved the issuance of new Ontotext shares and the grant of additional equity-like instruments to the SWC founders.  Back in 2022, DGKV had advised Integral Venture Partners and co-investors as they provided growth equity to Ontotext.
