Maya Mircheva is a Senior Associate in the firm’s Energy and Utilities and Real Estate practices, who joined DGKV as a Senior Associate in 2017. Maya has been the lead lawyer on a number of high-profile energy and real estate projects, and has advised a number of key corporate clients from various industries on the financing, acquisition, development, building, and operation of energy and real estate. In addition, Maya has considerable experience in the field of administrative litigation.
Recent representative projects include:
- Advising the Bulgarian arm of Akuo Energy (an operator of renewable energy assets worldwide) in a contemplated acquisition of ten hydro power plants in Bulgaria, with total installed power capacity of 22 MWs.
- Advising a syndicate of lenders — EBRD, Black Sea Trade and Development Bank, OTP Bank, NLB Bank, UniCredit, and Kommunalkredit, in connection with a €315 million HoldCo financing for Renalfa IPP, a leading regional renewables platform.
- Advising UniCredit Bulbank in relation to the project financing of 58MWh BESS project extension of the existing 112.5MW solar photovoltaic power plant near Ruse, Bulgaria, extended to Tsenovo Solar Plant OOD.
- Advising Contour Global Maritsa East 3 AD on issues relating to grid interconnection of a solar PV project and a BESS as well as the functioning of the power exchange market and the transition from the regulatory to the liberalised energy market.
- Advising Acibadem City Clinic EAD (the largest group of medical facilities in Bulgaria and a part of the international IHH Healthcare Berhad organization) on the structuring, due diligence, and acquisition of a oncology hospital building.
- Advising Globe Trade Centre on the acquisition of Mall of Sofia – one of the most successful shopping centers in the Bulgarian capital.
- Advising an investment fund in litigation proceedings related to the transfer of the company’s entire land-plot portfolio.
- Participating in the team advising on NEPI Rockcastle the acquisition of the Paradise Center – one of the largest shopping centers in Sofia.
