DGKV Recognised at the 2026 Managing IP Awards

DGKV is proud to announce that Kalina Tchakarova, Partner and Head of the law firm’s Intellectual Property practice, has been named Bulgaria Practitioner of the Year at the prestigious Managing IP Awards.

The award was presented during the annual Managing IP Awards ceremony on 1st May 2026 at the InterContinental London – The O2. The event welcomed approximately 700 leading IP professionals, firms, in-house counsel, and industry representatives from across the EMEA region.

The Managing IP Awards are widely regarded as one of the most respected distinctions in the intellectual property legal sector for more than  20 years now. The awards recognize firms and professionals in more than 50 jurisdictions and multiple practice areas, including patents, trademarks, copyright, and IP transactions. The Managing IP Awards programme, has become the premier IP awards event globally, celebrating outstanding achievements by firms, practitioners, corporations, and in-house teams.

This year’s recognition is especially significant given the highly competitive shortlist and record number of submissions. The awards are based on extensive independent research conducted by Managing IP analysts through interviews, surveys, market feedback, and the review of publicly available court and IP office records.
